Olomouc is the second largest city preservation area in the Czech Republic after Prague. In its centre the visitors are taken by the Holy Trinity Column, the largest Baroque sculptural group in the Central Europe listed on the UNECSO World Heritage List, the Town Hall with astronomical clock, Archbishop’s Palace, a set of Baroque fountains, and many religious monuments making up magical atmosphere of the city. The tourist portal Lonely Planet praised Olomouc as the most beautiful city in the Czech Republic, and placed it on the top of the list of 50 European hidden gems worth visiting.
