Are you intrigued by Jewish culture and the many myths surrounding this fascinating religion? This three-day program will introduce you to the surprising architectural diversity of Jewish houses of prayer; visits to Jewish cemeteries recall the troubled history of this ethic group.

tour of Jewish synagogue and cemetery (The local synagogue is the lone preserved "Polish" type synagogue and features significant interior decoration in its original condition. The Gothic and Renaissance tombstones in the cemetery are among the oldest in Moravia; a commemorative plaque lists the names of all Holocaust victims.)

tour of Jewish cemetery (cemetery - established in the 17th century on the site of a former aristocratic kennel and featuring rare Baroque and Art Nouveau tombstones; the ceremonial hall was built in 1889 by architect Max Fleisch)

tour of Jewish synagogue and cemetery (the local synagogue built in the 16th century in the late Gothic style is the oldest in Moravia; the tomb of Rabbi Fränkl is found in the local cemetery)

tour of Jewish synagogue and cemetery (Today's synagogue has stood at the site since 1727; in 1805 the wooden portions of the building burned in a fire and the synagogue was rebuilt in today's Classicist appearance. The cemetery was founded in 1554.) ; lunch

tour of Jewish synagogue and cemetery (The synagogue was originally built in 1688; it was demolished in 1722 and then rebuilt. Established in the mid-15th century, the local cemetery features Baroque and Classicist tombstones.); departure
