This five-day program gives guests an opportunity to learn more about the cultural-historical and natural heritage of Central Moravia. The program takes you to a wide variety of architectural monuments, interesting museum exhibits, and even offers a short nature excursion.

Day 1

arrival at hotel, check-in; free program

Day 2

Olomouc (municipality) 08:00 - 13:30

breakfast at hotel, tour of Olomouc (The Holy Trinity Column - a UNESCO monument, the Upper and Lower Square, the Church of St. Michael - designed by D. Martinelli and G. P. Tencalla; the Chapel of St. Jan Sarkander - a Baroque chapel built in the first half of the 18th century; the Church of the Virgin Mary of the Snow - a Baroque church from 1712; St. Wenceslas Cathedral - a Gothic cathedral from the 13th century; Svatý Kopeček - Basilica Minor of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary - a pilgrimage church built in the years 1669-1679 and elevated to the status of basilica minor by Pope John Paul II in 1995.); lunch

Šternberk (municipality) 14:45 - 17:00

tour of Šternberk (Augustinian monastery from the 18th century featuring ornamentation by painter J. K. Handke and sculptors F. Sattler and J. Kammereith; Šternberk Castle - a Gothic castle founded after the middle of the 13th century)

return to hotel; free program (shopping, sports, relaxation)

breakfast at hotel at 8am; departure by bus

Uničov (municipality) 09:45 - 13:00

tour of Uničov (Uničov Square: town hall from the second half of the 14th century or beginning of the 15th century; Marian Column, Baroque fountains; Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary - an important example of Gothic and late Renaissance architecture from the first half of the 14th century); lunch

Loštice (municipality) 13:45 - 14:45

tour of Loštice (Museum of Tvarůžky Cheese - founded in 1876)

Litovel (municipality) 15:15 - 17:00

tour of Litovel (town hall tower, plague pillar from 1724, Lang House - a house with brewing and tapping rights; town walls and park - the original fortifications of the newly founded town in the 13th century; gymnasium - a symbol of the struggle between Czech and German residents of the town for political power; Swedish Plaque in the town walls; St. John Bridge - stone bridge over the main branch of the Morava River from the end of the 16th century)

Prostějov (municipality) 09:30 - 11:30

tour of Prostějov (Prostějov Museum - permanent exhibits offering an engaging look at the geologic past and prehistory of the region; Renaissance town hall - built in 1914 in a historicizing style; National House - an Art Nouveau jewel of European importance built between 1905 and 1907; chateau - one of the most important Renaissance chateaus of the Pernstein family)

Plumlov (municipality) 12:00 - 14:30

lunch, Plumlov Chateau (Plumlov Chateau - built between 1680 and 1688 by John Adam of Liechtenstein)

Tovačov (municipality) 15:30 - 17:00

tour of Tovačov Chateau and the town (Tovačov Chateau - the entrance portal tower (1492) is the oldest Italian Renaissance work in the country; copy of the staircase from the Vienna Opera; parish St. Wenceslas Church from 1793)

Přerov (municipality) from 17:30


Day 5

Přerov (municipality) till 11:00

breakfast at hotel at 8am, tour of Přerov (Upper Square, Comenius Museum - the oldest museum of its kind in the world; the town walls date to the 15th century)

Lipník nad Bečvou (municipality) 11:30 - 13:30

tour of Lipník nad Bečvou (town walls, Church of St. James with bell tower - late Renaissance structure, the bell tower was built in 1609; chateau - likely built in the mid-11th century, synagogue from the 16th century); lunch

Hranice (municipality) 14:00 - 18:00

tour of Hranice, Hranice chasm and Zbrašov Aragonite Caves (Hranice - tour of the town monument zone: chateau - late-Gothic chateau; synagogue - built in a Moorish-Byzantine style in 1864; town walls - the oldest town walls, were built between 1292 and 1296; Hranice Gorge - the deepest chasm in the Czech Republic; Zbrašov Aragonite Caves - a unique cave system of European importance)
