Water surfaces

Dead channels and meanders of rivers, ponds, man-made dammed lakes and expansive lakes created from gravel pits have become attractive destinations for nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts. Several originally man-made water surfaces have become valuable biotopes with diverse flora and fauna, or significant centres for summer recreation activities in the Central Moravian region.
