Natural Reserves

The Central Moravia region is full of valuable natural sites deserving special care and protection. Natural reserve Litovelské Pomoraví between the cities of Olomouc, Litovel, and Mohelnice is a complex of large alluvial forests and meadows, unique in all of Europe. The core of the reserve is a rare phenomenon: an inland river delta. Many marked bicycle trails cross the area, the streams are navigable on rafts.

Dolany, Domašov nad Bystřicí, Hlubočky, Hraničné Petrovice, Jívová, Město Libavá, Moravský Beroun, Olomouc, Velká Bystřice

The nature park is located in the south-west portion of the Domašov highlands, in the Bystřice River valley area. The river has made a deep, rocky valley here, with canyons, cliffs, scree and rock beds. In the areas where its tributaries begin, there are preserved remains of peat meadows, and in the valleys one will be enchanted by the wetlands. On the steep wooded slopes are splendid woods, in places reminding one of primeval forests.
