Hranicko

The stone viaducts were built between the years 1844 and 1847 on the Northern Railway of Emperor Ferdinand to navigate the difference in altitudes in the watershed of the Odra and Bečva rivers and the shallow, broad valley near Jezernice and Hranice.

The viaducts for the second track were built in the 1870's, and the third were built by Italian prisoners of war during the First World War. They were completed following the war. The Hranice viaduct is over 430 metres in length.
