Náměšť na Hané Chateau

You are here:

The chateau at Náměšť na Hané features unique collections not found anywhere else in the country.

Náměšť na Hané Chateau was built in the 18th century by Ferdinand Bonaventura, the Prince of Harrach, in the then modern style of early Classicism with French architectural elements. The chateau stands in the centre of a circular park with linden vistas projecting from the centre in the four cardinal directions. The ruins of a castle from the 13th century are located near the chateau. The rococo interiors house a display of the lifestyle of the nobility, as well as paintings and a rare collection of Meissen porcelain and a display of historical baby carriages. An Imperial-style chapel stands in the chateau park.
