Olomouc

Fort XXII is part of the preserved fortress system around Olomouc. It was constructed according to a project by Colonel Julius von Wurmb in the second half of the 18th century.

The fort was owned by the Czech army for a long time and has dilapidated considerably. The structure is currently undergoing redevelopment. Once reconstructed, the fort will house an exhibition presenting the military fortification of Olomouc, including a period replica of a rooming unit. In the future, it is planned that the fort yard as well as its interiors will host various cultural and social events.
