This year, a couple of new attractions have been prepared for visitors to Olomouc. Tourists can use a new electronic guide and the services of the regional rent-a-bike centre.
The new electronic guide is prepared in ten language variants and may be used by everybody who wants to travel around the city without any restraints and learn about its history as well as its present.
At the rent-a-bike centre in the city hall arcade, you can rent a city bike, a helmet or a reflective vest. The fees are CZK 80 for an hour or CZK 300 for a day.
The City of Olomouc also invites visitors to the Archbishop's Palace, which has recently been made accessible to the public, guided cycle sightseeing tours, Nordic walking (walking with poles) or a visit to the Olomouc fortress.
As usual in Olomouc, visitors are offered sightseeing raft trips around a part of the historical heart of the city.
On the second floor of the city hall, next to the staircase leading to the tower, visitors will find a newly opened "Astronomical Clock Exhibition" that maps the six-hundred-year-long history of the unique astronomical clock in Olomouc.
