Even though no romanesque rotund, generally considered a typical construction of this period, has been preserved in Central Moravia region, the region is often mentioned in connection with the
romanesque period.
Olomouc, a significant political nad cultural centre back under the rule of Premyslides, has one of the most valuable romanesque constructions on the Czech territory ever, the opulent Premyslides´ Palace inside which the last Premyslide, Vaclav III, was assassinated.
