After having been listed as the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage, the monumental baroque column of the Holy Trinity on the Horní square is probably the most renowned monument in Olomouc.

Over forty sculptures, works of 18th century masters, look upon us from the unique, 35 meters high construction. Its design is undoubtedly the most original work of the local artist Václav Render, whose admirable initiative, together with generous financial subsidy, gave birth to the monument. In collaboration with numerous Moravian artists, he created a work which is unique in dimensions, difficulty and scope of sculpture decorations, and has no peer in any other European city.
