Mohelnicko

Featuring a combination of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Neo-Gothic elements, the church is the most significant historical landmark in Mohelnice.

The church was built on the site of the former parish Church of the Virgin Mary, mentioned in records in 1247. This church was expanded in the 14th century and then burned down by the Hussites in 1424. The addition of the Chapel of St. Anne and the Chapel of the Holy Cross were made in the Baroque style. The church was heavily damaged during a fire in the town in 1841, leading to Neo-Gothic reconstruction in 1886.
